darefire One of the underrated gems of Bandcamp. If you are a metal head but also enjoy classical music, Aeolian has a lot to offer you. “Grave” is a 36+ minute long piece comprising of several different self-contained themes. If the length gives you pause, don’t be concerned; it is easily digestible and has interesting shifts in mood and rhythm. It also isn’t overly flashy either- less show-off, more good music.

about

Inspired by the Liszt Sonata and funeral doom metal, originally recorded in 2013 in fragments to form as the backbone to the album that would become Epicedium then stitched together into different combinations for the album that would become The Island in the Corner of the Sea, this three part solo piano composition marks the start of the Aeolian Winds project.
